A few days ago, as ‘Wan Ji Xiang 898’ ship left the berth slowly, Shanghai harbour ICT Hai’an project first trial ship left Fengshan harbour of Hai’an. This time ‘Wan Ji Xiang 898’ ship was loaded with 36 standard containers. It would go to Shanghai harbour by Lianshen channel in the Yangtze River, berthed at Waigaoqiao port, and leave Shanghai harbour for Jakarta island in Indonesia.

‘ICT’ is the abbreviation for ‘inland container terminal’. After Shanghai harbour ICT Hai’an project is settled and operated officially, it will reduce the logistics cost of manufacture industry of Hai’an and foreign invested and foreign trade companies to a large extent, provide more economic, convenient, and environmentally friendly intensive logistics service channel for clients near Hai’an, provide better quality logistics services for companies near inland river harbours, and promote the development of export oriented economy of middle Jiangsu area.

From January to August, the realized container throughput of Hai’an Fengshan harbour is 11600 standard containers, there is an increase of 40%.
