On 20 May, Jiangsu Ecology and Environment department published Jiangsu biodiversity red list (the first batch), the 1st batch of 84 species of wild animals and plants were shortlisted. In Nantong area, the number of wild species which entered ‘the red list’ is 43, 38 species of birds, 1 species of mammal, 3 species of amphibians, and 1 species of insect.
