After 31 August 2022,people who still detain overseas or return to our state by illegal ways will be punished according to law.

On 15 June, Nantong intermediate people’s court, Nantong people's procuratorate, and Nantong public security bureau published announcement of urging Nantong citizens who detained overseas illegally to return home and report to the police together, to urge Nantong citizens who detained overseas illegally to return home and report to the police, to get leniency. After 31 August 2022, people who still detain overseas or return to our state by illegal ways will be punished according to law.

The Nantong citizens who detained overseas illegally refer to Nantong citizens who did telecom network fraud, cross border online gambling, cross border organization of prostitution, illegal crossing border, organization of others crossing border illegally, and detained people who committed crimes.
