In the first half of the year, the number of issued Nantong RCEP certificates of origin ranked the 1st in Jiangsu

Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) has been implemented for half a year. It provided strong vitality and vigor for foreign trade of Nantong. Data published by Nantong council for promotion of international trade shows that: in the first half of the year, in total 11.2 thousand RCEP preferential certificates of origin were issued to 685 enterprises in Nantong. The involved amount is 2.37 billion Yuan. The number of enterprises, the number of certificates and the amount of money account for 51.7%, 53.3% and 42.2 of the trade promotion system of Jiangsu. The quantity of issue is ranked the 1st in Jiangsu. Enterprises enjoyed over 35 million Yuan tariff relief.

Nantong Maojia international trade Co., Ltd. exports mainly women’s clothing to Japan. After RCEP is implemented, the enterprise took the opportunity of tariff relief, expanded Japanese market further. In the first half of the year, the order from Japanese clients increased obviously, doubled over the same period of last year.

Organic chemical raw materials manufacturer Jiangsu Baichuan High-tech New Materials Co., Ltd., also tasted the benefits of RCEP implementation. ‘The tariffs of major products we export to Japan were reduced from 3.1% and 3.7% to 0 respectively. In the first half of the year, the amount of money of RCEP preferential certificates of origin we applied from Nantong council for promotion of international trade reached 3.5 million U.S. dollars. It is expected to save about 110 thousand U.S. dollars of tariff for Japanese clients.’ manager of the company Shi Bin said.
