he reporter learnt from municipal bureau of industry and information technology that in the latest published 4th batch of national professional, specialized, characteristic and new ‘little giant’ enterprises list, 34 Nantong enterprises were shortlisted, which was more than the summation of the previous 3 batches of shortlisted enterprises.

This time in total 48 Nantong enterprises applied for ‘little giant’ enterprises, the pass rate reached 70%. Among the 34 shortlisted enterprises, 6 are in Hai’an, 7 in Rugao, 2 in Rudong, 3 in Qidong, 4 in Chongchuan, 2 in Tongzhou, 5 in Haimen, 4 in Nantong economic and technological development zone, 1 in Suxitong industrial park.

In the previous 3 batch of national professional, specialized, characteristic and new ‘little giant’ enterprises, there are 27 Nantong enterprises. The number is leading in Jiangsu province. In 2021, the total realized taxable sales of the 27 enterprises was 16.866 billion Yuan, the tax which was put in storage was 838 million Yuan; the average taxable sales and average tax revenue reached 625 million Yuan and 31.02 million Yuan, which were far more than average value of industrial enterprises above designated size.
