On 27 September morning, Shanghai metropolitan area spatial collaborative planning implementation promotion meeting was held by video conference. Parallel sessions of the meeting were arranged in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and relevant cities and districts.

Shanghai metropolitan area building is a ‘chorus’ of Shanghai and nearby cities including Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, Nantong, Jiaxing, Ningbo, Zhoushan and Huzhou. It is mutual hinterland with Nanjing, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou and Ningbo metropolitan area, and they promote each other.

Secretary of CPC Nantong Committee Wang Hui said during the speech that, Nantong would use this as an opportunity, work on cooperating with Shanghai and integration with south Jiangsu, accelerate the building and promote in depth the development of the Yangtze River delta integration model city, try to make ‘north to Shanghai’ to ‘north Shanghai’.
