There will be another new main artery for ‘Jiangsu on the rail’. On 28 September morning, CPC Jiangsu Committee, Jiangsu government and China State Railway Group held Beiyanjiang high speed railway Jiangsu section mobilization conference. Beiyanjiang high speed railway Jiangsu section construction was started.

Beiyanjiang high speed railway is the main channel of high speed railway along the Yangtze River of ‘eight vertical and eight horizontal’ national medium and long term national railway network plan. It connects Shanghai, Jiangsu and Anhui. Its design speed is 350 km per hour. The length of Jiangsu section is 365 km. It passes 11 stations. After it is completed, it will be more convenient and faster to travel from Yangzhou, Taizhou and Nantong areas to places including Shanghai and Nanjing. There will be new channel for Sichuan, Chongqing, Hubei, Anhui and Jiangsu areas to Shanghai and passengers flow from middle west area to Eastern China area.
