Tong-Su-Jia-Yong railway project starts at Nantong west railway station, joins Hu-Su-Tong railway in the south, and crosses the Yangtze River by Shanghai-Suzhou-Nantong Yangtze River Bridge, passes Suzhou and Jiaxing, crosses Hangzhou bay, and goes to Ningbo hub after passing Cixi, crosses Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, connects Nantong, Suzhou, Jiaxing and Ningbo, 4 cities.

The operation length of Tong-Su-Jia-Yong railway is 310 km. There are 10 stations which are Nantong west, Zhangjiagang, Changshu west, Suzhou north, Suzhou south, Jiashan north, Jiaxing south, Haiyan, Cixi and Zhuangqiao. ‘Nantong west railway station as the start station, improved its hub effect obviously.’ deputy director of Nantong railway office Huang Jiandong said.

Experts calculated that after Tong-Su-Jia-Yong railway is completed, it is about 85 km from Nantong west railway station to Suzhou north station, the travel time is more than 20 minutes minimum; the distance to Ningbo is 300 km, travel time is 1 hour minimum. By transfer to Hu-Hang passenger special train in Jiaxing south station, going from Nantong to Hangzhou does not need to pass Shanghai, it will save one and a half hours compared with the current route.
