It is Zhang Jian’s 170th anniversary this year. On 24 February, ‘Zhang Jian’s story’ multimedia publicity activity was held in Macau.

The performance on that day included 4 chapters, which seized the wonderful stories in Zhang Jian’s life in fields including industry, education, culture, and charity, presented the extraordinary life of Zhang Jian. The performance integrated art presentation forms including sound, light and image, used speech as main line, sprinkled with profound comments in simple language from research experts and feelings of overseas Chinese.

‘Zhang Jian’s story’ multimedia publicity activity is a cultural exchange project meticulously made by Nantong in the past few years. Since the first performance in June 2017, it has been formed in many places such as Beijing and Nanjing. In 2018, it went overseas, and delivered speech at headquarters of the United Nations. Poem with music and performance Ode to Zhang Jian was also launched.

Letting ‘Zhang Jian’s story’ multimedia publicity event enter Macau, is to let Macau residents know about Zhang Jian, feel his feelings, and understand Zhang Jian, let more people know about Nantong and come to Nantong, build a bridge of communication between Nantong and Macau, even the world.
