On 7 April, ‘Dialogue on Market Opportunities, Cooperation and Development - West Africa Market Opportunities and Investment Direction Seminar’ was held in Nantong,.

Nantong and Africa are a great distance apart, but have a long history of economic and trade exchange. More than 60 thousand Nantong residents have businesses in Africa, which accounts for more than 80% of Jiangsu people in Africa. Up to end of March, Nantong enterprises have invested and established 51 overseas projects. The agreed investment amount is 470 million U.S. dollars. The business involves several fields including real estate, construction materials, textile and optical communication.

After the participating enterprises got to know the investment market and relevant policies in west Africa, they said that West Africa was developing fast and full of opportunities. 16 countries had diversified resources and many trade opportunities. They hoped that they could connect supply chain and industrial chain by this event, and find suitable investment opportunities in industries including home textile, clothing, and construction materials.
