50.971 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electric power can satisfy the needs of 22.3 million ordinary families in one year

The reporter learnt from Nantong Maritime Safety Administration that since the completion of Nantong offshore wind farm, the accumulated power generation has reached 50.971 billion kilowatt-hours, exceeded 50 billion. Among them, power generation of the offshore wind farm in the first 4 months of the year is 6.481 billion kilowatt-hours, there is an increase of 16.25%. Up to now, 23 offshore wind arms and 1573 wind turbines have been built in Nantong. The total installed capacity is 6.688 million kilowatts.
According to calculation of experts, 50.971 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electric power can satisfy the needs of 22.3 million ordinary families in one year. Compared with traditional coal-fired thermal power, it can reduce 58.89 million tons of carbon dioxide emission and 1.77 million tons of sulfur dioxide emission.
