To ease the difficulties of people including ‘office workers’ and ‘students’ who have no time to see doctors and are not convenient for medical treatment in the day, recently, several hospitals in the city launched ‘night outpatient’ service one after another, which involved several departments including pediatrics, Traditional Chinese Medicine department, and psychology department. The service is extended to latest 22 o’clock, which was liked by citizens.

Nantong First People’s Hospital started pediatrics night outpatient service in January 2020. ‘All attending doctors are pediatricians with associate chief physician title or above. The specialties include various sub-specialties including pediatric respiration, growth and development, kidney, neonatology and neurology.’ Song Lei, deputy director of pediatrics of Nantong First People’s Hospital introduced that patients could make an appointment for pediatrics night outpatient on wechat mini program of Nantong First People’s Hospital and Nantong Medical Insurance APP. In the past 3 months, the number of pediatrics night outpatient visits of the hospital has reached 2570.

Up to now, several public hospitals including Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University, Nantong First People’s Hospital, and the Sixth People’s Hospital of Nantong have launched pediatrics night outpatient service.

As ‘the dog days’ are coming, from this month, Nantong Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine will provide noontime and night outpatient service, including Acupuncture and moxibustion Department and massage department. Citizens who have sore loin or painful legs do not have to bear, can see doctors at any time.
