From 11 to 14 August local time, Wu Xinming, secretary of CPC Nantong Committee led a team to Germany for economic and trade investment promotion and cooperation exchange event, to promote cooperation with Germany all round and comprehensively.

On 14 August morning, 2023 China Nantong - Germany Economic and Trade Exchange Conference was held in Berlin. Guests from industries and business community of Germany including Volker Friedrich, general manager of Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade; Dominik Risse, head of LANXESS Urethane Systems Business Unit; Torsten Vahrenkamp, founder of FiconTEC; Michael Boss, project director for international affairs of Automotive Berlin-Brandenburg Association of Automotive Suppliers; Liu Chenchao, general manager of Sirui group; Hubert Kumbo, co-founder of Brunswick group; Dai Jun, board chairman of RoboTechnik Intelligent Technology Co., LTD; German Small and Medium Enterprises Center, Century 3, and Sinolytics attended the event.

Wu Xinming hoped that more German enterprises could come to Nantong to manufacture, do research and develop, and achieve mutual benefits with Nantong, sharing the dividends of opportunity and creating a better future together.

The participating guests also watched the propaganda video of Nantong, listened to the introduction of investment environment of Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area, and carried out in depth exchange and interaction about relevant cooperation items.

While in Germany, Wu Xinming also met Du Chunguo, Consul General of Consulate General of China in Dusseldorf and Ms. Andrew Heidegger, person inc charge of Asia Pacific region of German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, visited well-known enterprises including Symrise, Easun tech, and Merck group.
