‘Ready, start disassembly!’ at about 10 am on 30th October, in the large TBM equipment manufacturing base of China Railway Construction Corporation in Tongzhou Bay Demonstration Zone, several dozens of workers started disassembly of the giant cutter head of the tunnel boring machine ‘Jing Bin Xie Tong’. After careful preparation in the early stage, the official disassembly and delivery of the giant machine was started. After disassembly, delivery, on-site installation and test are completed, ‘Jing Bin Xie Tong’ will be put into the construction of the No.2 tunnel of Tianjin Airport Road of Beijing-Binhai high speed railway.
The excavation diameter of ‘Jing Bin Xie Tong’ is 13.8 m. The total length of the machine is about 123 m. Its weight is 2900 tons. The total installed capacity is 6950 kilowatts. It is one of the most advanced and intelligent tunnel boring machines for current high speed railway tunnels. The equipment is large in size. The disassembly and packaging will last about half a month. The delivery will need close to 100 shipments.
In 2022, China Railway 14th Bureau Group Equipment Co., Ltd. settled in Tongzhou Bay High-End Equipment Industrial Park, and started to build the China Railway Construction Corporation large TBM equipment manufacturing base. The total investment of the project is over 2 billion yuan. It covers an area of 300 mu. It is planned to produce 19 TBMs of over 12 m diameter per year. After it reaches production capacity, the estimated annual sales will be 2 billion yuan.
