On 19th March, Toray Sakai Weaving and Dyeing (Nantong) Co., Ltd. donated 30 cherry trees to Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area, and planted them in NETDA Square.

Toray Sakai Weaving and Dyeing (Nantong) Co., Ltd. was founded at Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area on 26th August 1994, with an investment of 1.442 billion yuan from Toray Industries Inc., Toray (China) Investment Co., Ltd. and Sakai Fiber Co., Ltd. It went into production officially on 11th September 1996.

The company is the largest manufacturing company invested in China by Toray Industries Inc., an internationally renowned multinational corporation. The core business includes manufacturing of grey fabric mainly consists of chemically synthesized fibers, processing of functional fabrics, manufacturing, sales and water treatment of ready-made clothes.

After 30 years of development, at present, the company has 5 plants, and more than 1600 employees. It has business interactions with over 30 countries and areas in the world. The cooperate partners include famous companies in fields including clothing and automobile.

At the site of planting, the person in charge of the enterprise said that the company celebrated its 30th anniversary this year. It has become a four-star famous enterprise in Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area. While being a communication ambassador between China and Japan, at the same time, the company will continue to take root in Chinese market, and make new contributions to local high-quality development.
