On 10th April, 2024 ‘ASEAN— China Year of People-to-people Exchanges’ Jiangsu series of activities was launched in Nantong. As the first event, China(Nantong)—ASEAN conference on promoting the development of integration of vocational education and industry was held.

Jiangsu is one of the preferred places of many international students from ASEAN countries when they come to China to study. Many vocational schools in Nantong have admitted nearly 1000 international students from ASEAN countries including Laos and Cambodia, and carried out various international vocational education cooperation programs. Among the programs, the order talent training program for Louang Namtha education and sports department of Laos of Jiangsu College of Engineering and Technology, and the China Myanmar ‘Chinese+Maritime professional skills’ professional talent cultivation program of Jiangsu Shipping College were shortlisted in ‘China—ASEAN Tertiary Vocational Schools Characteristic Cooperation Projects’.

On the day, Nantong Vocational University, Jiangsu College of Engineering and Technology, and Jiangsu Shipping College shared their characteristic programs to serve international production capacity cooperation.
