On 22nd June, Nantong Municipal Government and China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment held ‘2024 China-Japan (Nantong) Industrial Cooperation Exchange Conference’ together.

There are more than 3800 foreign-owned enterprises in Nantong, among which nearly 500 are Japanese-funded enterprises. A lot of famous Japanese enterprises including Toray, Kawasaki, Mitsubishi, Sumitomo, Asahi Kasei, Dawang-goon, and Aeon have taken root in Nantong, developed and expanded.

At the conference, representatives of more than ten Japanese enterprises including JSC Co., Ltd., April Co., Ltd., and Marcolos Co., Ltd. listened to the introduction about economic and social development of Nantong. They thought that Nantong had obvious advantages in location, space, transport, cost, etc., profound foundations and great potential in major industries including bio-medicine, new materials, new energy and high-end equipment, and first-class business environment. They hoped that by the visit and exchange, they could know more about Nantong and had more cooperation in the future.

While in Nantong, representatives from more than ten Japanese companies also went to industrial parks in districts such as Qidong and Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area, to conduct on-site visits and know the development conditions of Nantong industries, and seek more cooperation.
