On 8th July Beijing time, the seed players of the five single events in badminton of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 were announced. Shi Yuqi was listed as No.1 seed in men’s singles.

Badminton World Federation determines the seed list based on the world rankings. Since 11th June, Shi Yuqi has ranked first in the men’s singles world rankings. Hence, he was listed as No.1 seed in men’s singles badminton of the Olympic Games Paris.
