From 8th to 9th July, 18 teachers and students of Nantong Zilang No.1 Primary School were invited by Gimje, a sister city in Korea, for an exchange visit. It is the first primary school exchange visit in the past 27 years since Nantong and Gimje became sister cities.
During the two-day visit in Gimje, teachers and students of Nantong Zilang No.1 Primary School visited places including a primary school in Gimje, Gimje Art Hall and Geumsansa, carried out immersive learning, learnt Korean culture, and experienced in depth the culture and folk customs of Gimje.
The primary school has a history of over 100 years. In the campus, teachers and students of Nantong Zilang No.1 Primary School experienced the canteen, classrooms and the school’s curriculum. Students of the two schools attended the same class, guided by the Korean teachers, folded Hanbok, designed Korean fans and wrote good wishes in Chinese and Korean on the fans.
