On 18th July, 29 trainees from Bangladesh Railway Operation Management Training Course went to places such as the construction site and Chongming Dongping beam field of Chongqi Highway-Railway Yangtze River Bridge of Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu High-speed Railway of China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group, observed, learnt and communicated. They praised the high quality of Chinese projects, and described the advanced technologies applied in the project ‘fantastic’ and ‘brilliant’.

On that morning, the trainees of the training course went to Dongping beam field of the project for visit. During the visit, the students asked about the specifications, manufacturing process and crafts of the beams while observing, and praised the automatic sprinkler system and information management platform in the plant. After that, the students passed multiple portal piers in water on bus, and arrived at the construction site of the pier of No.3 main tower of Chongqi Highway-Railway Yangtze River Bridge to watch the construction conditions of the tower. They praised the exterior quality of the bridge pier, expressed surprise at the construction scale and standards of the bridge and the equipment and technologies applied, and took out mobile phones to take photos and videos, to record the unforgettable bridge site trip.

At the exhibition hall of the project department, the trainees watched the English propaganda video of China Railway Group Limited and China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group Co., Ltd. When the ‘bridge of dreams’ of Bangladesh —— Padma Multipurpose Bridge appeared on the screen, they could not help but smile happily, some even applauded excitedly.

Mohammad Jamal Hossain, the leader of the training course and Deputy Secretary General of Ministry of Railways of Bangladesh, stated that since the training course started on 9th July, the trainees learnt about many famous projects of China railways and different types of buildings. They also visited the construction site of railway projects on site. They all think that China's infrastructure development is amazing. He said that Chongqi Highway-Railway Yangtze River Bridge represents globally leading bridge construction level. The contractor, China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group, integrated and applied modern bridge construction technology and digital, intelligent management measures in the construction of the bridge, which is very enlightening for transportation infrastructure development of Bangladesh.

Mr. Hossain expressed sincere gratitude to China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group for investing and building the Padma Bridge. He said that China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group not only overcame the poor bridge construction conditions, and built a beautiful and high-quality modern bridge for the people of Bangladesh, but also introduced advanced construction technologies and management measures into Bangladesh, and cultivated a lot of young talents in Bangladesh.
