On 15th August, the first NG20000 wind turbine installation vessel built by COSCO Shipping (Qidong) Offshore Co., Ltd. for a Danish owner was named ‘Wind Peak’ officially.

The ship has 5600 square meters of deck area. The payload exceeds 17,600 tons. The lifting capacity of the main crane exceeds 2,500 tons. Diesel-electric hybrid power was used for the first time. The living area can accommodate 130 people. It can transport and install 7 complete sets of 15 MW or 5 sets of over 20MW wind turbines at one time. It is the world's most advanced and environmentally friendly self-elevating offshore wind turbine installation vessel with the highest technical specifications at present.
