On 23rd August, the 10th Chinese Exposition of Museums and Relevant Products and Technologies opened at Chilechuan International Exhibition Center in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The expo was founded in 2004. It is the largest museum exposition in Asia, and one of the three major museum industry exhibitions in the world. In total 577 museums and relevant enterprises participated in the expo. 7 museums of Nantong Museum Union made a debut as a group.

As the first public museum founded by Chinese, Nantong Museum, founded by Mr. Zhang Jian in 1905, was recognized widely in the industry. Like the previous expo, Nantong exhibition area is located in the core of the exhibition center, next to the Palace Museum and National Museum of China. This time, Nantong exhibition area emphasized the ‘first Museum in China’ element of Nantong Museum, used multiple ways including scene, boards, objects, new media, and museum research and study on-site experience, to present the history, present and development achievements of Nantong’s museum industry over the past 100 years.
