On 25th September, a globally renowned household products brand —— ‘Tiger’ launched new products at Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area. More than 50 new products were launched, including pressure rice cooker and vacuum flask. It is learnt that it was the brand’s first global release of new products from the Nantong plant. In the future, over 60% of the production capacity of vacuum flasks of the brand will be from Nantong.

Tiger Corporation was founded in Japan in 1923. With its core vacuum insulation technology, it has developed various high-performance household appliances, and became a global market leader. In 2018, Tiger Corporation founded Tiger-born(China) Electronics Co., Ltd. in Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area. The total investment was 1 billion yuan. The registered capital was 380 million yuan. It mainly produces high-performance vacuum flasks, thermos pots, rice cookers, etc. The project was completed and put into operation in 2021.

‘As the equipment production lines of the Shanghai plant are transferred, the production capacity of the Nantong plant will be further increased. It will play a more important role among the three major production bases of Tiger Corporation in the world.’ At the site of the release conference, Takehiko Nishio, General Manager of Tiger-born (China) Electronics Co., Ltd., said that Nantong had an advantageous location and first-class business environment. There are comprehensive support elements for the company’s investment in Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area. They are confident that they can provide consumers with more new choices of household products.
