Recently, the reporter learnt from Kindon New Energy Technology (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. that the company’s offshore wind power hydrogen production demonstration project was completed in Zhuhai, Guangdong on 19th September.
In September 2022, Kindon New Energy settled in the Zilang Technology City in Nantong Innovation District. In the next month, it became the EPCM main contractor of the offshore wind power hydrogen production demonstration project initiated by Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School and approved by Department of Natural Resources of Guangdong Province. ‘It is the first large-scale, commercial project in the relevant field in China.’ Zhang Yuyang, Chairman of the Board of the company, introduced that the theoretical technology applied in the project obtained the world’s first ‘offshore wind power hydrogen production system’ AIP certification from Registro Italiano Navale. It not only opens up a new way for the production of green energy such as green methanol and green ammonia, but also provides new ideas for the upgrading of global clean energy technology.
In May, the first batch of offshore wind power hydrogen production equipment was officially delivered, and sent to Zhuhai for offshore joint commissioning and hydrogen trial production work.
