On 16th October, Martin Kocher, Federal Minister of Labour and Economy of the Republic of Austria and the leader of the delegation, came to visit Nantong, together with the other members of the delegation.

Nantong and Austria have kept close cooperation for a long time. Up to now, Austria has invested in 32 projects in Nantong, and the total actual use of foreign investment has exceeded 150 million USD.

Martin Kocher thanked Nantong for the warm hospitality. He said that the Austrian business community highly values cooperation with China, especially with the Yangtze River Delta region. He expects both sides can give full play to their respective advantages, and explore more cooperation possibilities in fields such as energy saving and environmental protection, new energy, education and training, to achieve resources sharing and mutual benefits.

The delegation also visited places including Starlim Nantong plant, the STIWA plant and the China-Austria Center.
