The first large floating liquefied natural gas facility in China ——ship ‘NGUYA FLNG’ undocked in Nantong, and successfully berthed at No.1 outfitting dock of Wison (Nantong) Heavy Industries.
FLNG, as a type of floating liquefied natural gas processing platform, can liquefy and store extracted natural gas directly in sea areas far from land.
Ship ‘NGUYA FLNG’ undocked this time is a large floating liquefied natural gas facility built by Wison (Nantong) Heavy Industries for Eni Group, an oil and gas giant from Italy. The length between perpendiculars is 350m. Its moulded breadth is 60m and moulded depth is 35m. After it is completed, it will be placed in sea areas about 50km from the coast of Congo (Brazzaville), where the water depth is from 30 to 50 meters. At full capacity, it can receive approximately 380 million cubic feet of natural gas daily from nearby gas fields.
