On 25th November, Zhang Tong, the Mayor of Nantong, met with Hiromichi Tsuji, the Mayor of Izumi, Japan and his delegation.

Zhang Tong said that Nantong has had close economic and trade interactions with Japan. Since Nantong and Izumi became sister cities, the two parties have carried out extensive cooperation in fields including education, economy, sports and health.

Hiromichi Tsuji thanked Nantong for the warm reception. He said that Japan will hold Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai Japan next year, and sincerely invited people to participate. He also hoped that the two sides would take the 30th anniversary of their friendship as a new starting point to expand the depth and breadth of cooperation and enhance the traditional friendship between the two cities.

The delegation of Izumi, Japan also visited places such as Nantong Urban Planning Museum, Nantong Museum, and Nantong International Home Textile Industrial Park.
