At 17:30 on 15th March, 10:30 am Danish time, Nantong Chiziqing Overseas Chinese Library connected with Lyngby Chinese School in Denmark, to witnessed the unveiling and establishment of the book crossing station together.
Lyngby, Denmark is the area with the highest concentration of overseas Chinese. This time, Lyngby Chinese School in Denmark and the Overseas Chinese Library cooperated to found the first book crossing station in Denmark, which can help the school improve teaching efficiency, and build a Chinese reading space locally.
Since the Overseas Chinese Library launched the construction of overseas book crossing stations in 2021, it has collected various types of Chinese books in China. After they are classified and sorted according to the needs of different schools and organizations overseas, they are provided to the book crossing stations for free, which help overseas Chinese, second-generation Chinese, and third-generation Chinese read books and learn Chinese. Up to now, more than 130 book crossing stations have been established in overseas Chinese organizations and Chinese schools in more than 70 countries around the world.
On that day, the Overseas Chinese Library also signed a cooperation agreement with New Zealand International Students' Association. It will provide Chinese reading services for Chinese international students and overseas Chinese of all age groups in New Zealand, and let Chinese culture spread better around the world.
