On 2 September, Jiangsu education department and Nantong government held Nantong University joint development agreement signing ceremony, to promote high level university development together, improve the university’s abilities and standards to support local economic and social development, and help in high quality development of Jiangsu better.

According to the agreement, Jiangsu education department will guide and support in plan development, campus functional layout, major technological innovative platform building, high end innovative talent attraction and cultivation, policy support, integrated reform and fund, promote Nantong University to develop into a characteristic high standard university. Nantong government will make high standard university development key emphasis of work, support the school in improving talent cultivation abilities according to local strategic requirements, and provide support in talent attraction, technological innovation and development of hospital affiliated to Nantong University. Nantong University will implement high standard university development plan, expand, optimize and improve university and municipal cooperative technological innovative platform, promote high end talent ‘double settlement’ actively, cultivate high quality talent and support high quality development of education in Nantong.
