On 28 August, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs published 2020 China beautiful leisure villages list, proposed 248 villages as 2020 China beautiful leisure villages. Dushiyuan village of Shigang town of Tongzhou district is the only shortlisted one in Nantong.

Dushiyuan village is a beautiful fishing village. Fan Zhongyan reclaimed land from the sea. Wen Tianxiang stopped here to watch the tide on his way to the south.

In the past few years, Dushiyuan village used characteristic ‘rivers and wet land’ resources as carrier, by natural wetland village tour, built ‘fishing bay with rice fragrance, riverside village with beautiful scenery’ with several developing industries. The current characteristic agricultural products are: Shigang preserved bean curd, Shigang Kaoxia, Shigang Yingao, and riverside village roast goose.
