On 31 August, the 140 m piling barge ‘first harbour Jin piling 1’ built by Zhenhua heavy industries for CCCC first harbour engineering company launching ceremony was held at Qidong marine engineering successfully. The ship is the world’s largest piling barge in the present. It is another efficient tool for China Communications Construction Company to improve offshore wind farm pile foundation construction core competence.

The ship is 124 m long, 39 m wide, 8 m deep. The height of the pile driving frame is 142 meters. It can drive piles which weigh 700 tons and whose diameter is 6 m. It can adapt to the construction requirements of offshore severe sea sate, and is used in projects such as offshore wind farm high piles and pile caps, jacket pipe piles and caissons.
