On 10 October, Photonics Asia 2021 was open at Nantong international conference center. More than 800 domestic and foreign photonics experts, scholars and entrepreneurs gathered by Zilang Lake, viewed the latest achievements of photonics and discussed the development of photonics indsutry.

Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and secretary of CPC Committee of ShanghaiTech University, and vice president of Chinese Optical Society Li Ruxin, secretary of CPC Committee of Nantong Wang Hui attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. President of Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers and professor of University of East Anglia David L.Andrews delivered a speech online.

Since 2001, Photonics Asia has been held for 10 times, which provided important academic communication platform for global photonics scientists. Photonics Asia 2021 was contracted by Nantong innovation district, Nantong science and technology bureau, and Yangtze River delta research institute of optoelectronics of Beijing University.
