On 11 October, the 2nd Yangtze River delta optoelectronics forum was open at Nantong international conference center. The aim of the forum is to build an open innovation platform, share the frontier conditions of optoelectronics field, promote production, learning and research integration and promote optoelectronics industry development. Yangtze River delta research institute of optoelectronics of Beijing University ‘Jiangsu new type of research institute’ was open at the same time.

The forum was held by Nantong government, information technology department of China Academy of Sciences and Chinese Optical Society together.

Vice president of Chinese Optical Society and previous president of Shanxi University Jia Suotang said in the speech that Nantong has superior conditions and strong atmosphere in technological innovation and entrepreneurship. He hoped that attending guests could make full use the forum, promote communication and cooperation, make Yangtze River delta optoelectronics forum an elite forum in optoelectronics field, and make more new voices in innovation and entrepreneurship by Zilang Lake.
