On 26 July, supervised and accompanied by coastal patrol ship, Mongolia cargo ship ‘Ocean Crystal’ berthed at Lvsi start up port ‘2+2’ port berth No. 10 slowly. It was the 45th foreign ship received by Lvsi start up port since its opening.
‘Ocean Crystal’ is 158.03 m long, 26 m wide. The maximum height above water is 37.5 m. It will carry 9963.6 tons of equipment to leave the port. As a major project of Tongzhou bay new estuary, Lvsi ‘2+2’ port general berth is mainly for loading, unloading and transport, and storage service of port cargo including wind turbine blades and towers, mechanical equipment, steel and steel structure. The design annual throughput capacity is 7.5 million tons. Since its temporary opening, it has been in ‘busy since opening’ stage. In only 7 months, 45 foreign ships came.
According to what the person in charge of Lvsi ‘2+2’ port general berth said, up to now, the completed cargo throughput is 77.2 thousand tons. 530 wind turbine blades, 1420 pieces of modules and equipment have been exported.
