At 7 am 15 December, dutch ship ‘Baffin’ loaded with 4 world’s largest dual box girder cranes made by our country, left the port slowly, guided by 4 pilots of Nantong pilot station of Yangtze River pilot center, and sailed to the second largest port on the east coast of the United States —— port of Savannah.

The 4 supersized dual box girder cranes transported by ship ‘Baffin’ this time, was manufactured by Nantong Wison engineering. It is an important export project to be delivered this year. The total value of the cargo is about 230 million yuan. Every dual box girder crane weighs about 1850 tons. The type is the largest container loading and unloading dual box girder crane in the world. It is mainly used in loading and unloading of 24000 standard containers post-Panamax container ship.

After 4 supersized dual box girder cranes were loaded on the ship, the maximum width of ship ‘Baffin’ reached 159.332 m, which broke the record of widest ship in Yangtze River international navigation.
