To boost consumption, Nantong rail transit launched ‘travel in summer night - free ride on underground railway’ event. The event is after 20:00 until end of operation, from 28 April to 31 August every day.

All passengers who entered the gates after 20:00 can enjoy free ride on metro, without limit on mileage and time. The regulations of the event include: passengers with citizen card, the 3rd generation of social security card, Jiangsu T-Union, Tong Tong You card, and Re Xue card can enjoy 0 fee for the trip when swiping the card. When passengers using physical counting card and souvenir ticket swipe cards to travel, no number of rides will be deducted from the card. Passenger using ‘Nantong Metro’ App can enjoy 0 fee when scanning code to ride. Passengers who do not have smart mobile phone or need help, can ask staff of the stations for assistance, enter from station special passage. Passengers who do not have physical cards, can download ‘Nantong Metro’ App, add value or enable password free payment, and then scan code to travel for free.

Nantong rail transit reminded passengers that those who entered the gate before 20:00, would be charged as usual when exiting the station. Passengers that enter the gate after 20:00, do not need to pay ticket fee when exiting the station.
