The design concept of the memorial badge is from the oldest exhibition hall of Nantong Museum —— the south hall. The shape is semi-circle. It presents the front part of the south hall which is the most recognizable part in three dimensions. And it echoes with the signature semi-circle gate of the building. Engraving is used on body of the badge, presents the octagonal star light element of Baoguang Jiahe medal of Zhang Jian in Nantong Museum, to enrich the texture and layer of the badge. On the back of the badge, gold engraved ‘1905· the first year of an era of Chinese museums’ characters are on it.
