At 9 am of 19 June, electric train of Nantong rail transit line No.2 set out from Xingfu depot to the starting station, Xingfu Station, which marked the start of no-load test run of rail transit line No.2 phase 1 project.
‘The train of rail transit line No.2 uses all welded aluminum alloy type B2 body structure. The maximum operation speed is 80 km/h. The maximum passenger capacity is 2133.’ Zheng Wei, vice general manager of operation branch of Nantong rail transit group said.
Rail transit line No.2 phase 1 project is from Xingfu Station to Xianfeng Station. The length is 20.58 km. There are 17 stations (all of them are underground stations) along the line. Among them, Hepingqiao Station and Wenfeng Station are transfer stations of line No.1 and No.2.
