12 entire sets of wind power equipment delivered from Nantong to Chile

On 14 July, ship ‘Pacific Prospect’ loaded with 12 sets of wind power equipment left Lvsi ‘2+2’ general wharf slowly for Chile. It was the first time entire sets of wind turbine blades were transported out since the opening and start of operation of Lvsi port operation area.

‘There were 12 sets of wind power generation equipment plus other supporting parts, in total 499 pieces. The weight reached more than 8340 tons. The volume was about 89 thousand cubic meters. The maximum weight of single item was 140 tons.’ person in charge of Tongyang port said. The ship used this time was the largest multi-function heavy lifting ship in the world up to now ‘Pacific Prospect’, to ensure the cargo’s safety.

Nantong Port Lvsi operation area is a new gate of opening up to build ‘the Belt and the Road’, a new hub of river and sea joint transport of the Yangtze River economic belt, a major landmark of new model of high quality development of the Yangtze River delta. As large international route ships including ‘Pacific Prospect’ entered and berthed successfully, and various new types of cargo were transported, the large ship and large port character of Lvsi operation area has become more and more distinctive.
