few days ago, Nantong Egens Biotechnology Co., Ltd. researched and produced 3 types of monkeypox virus detection kits independently, and won EU CE certification, which meant that the set of test kits could be sold in EU countries and countries which recognize EU CE certificates, which provided powerful technological support for international monkeypox virus pandemic prevention and control.

Wang Lei, vice director of research and development of Nantong Egens Biotechnology Co., Ltd. introduced that the 3 types of test kits researched and developed could collect Nasopharyngeal secretions and Rash blister fluid of patients and test the specific gene fragments of monkeypox virus by real time fluorescence PCR method. The test time was reduced from previous several hours to several days to 30 - 40 minutes. It has advantages including high sensitivity and good specificity, can detect low concentration virus in samples. Among them, antigen test kit, IgM/IgG antigen test kit are suitable for self test at home, nucleic acid test kit is for hospitals and third party testing centers. Up to now all three test kits have got EU CE certification.
