On 7 August afternoon, in Qidong Lvsi fishing port, one after another fishing boats fully loaded with seafood came to the port slowly. As baskets of seafood were unloaded to the bank, the port which had been quite for three months sprang into life instantly. Purchasers who had been waiting on the bank were busy sorting, packing, weighing the seafood and loading them on trucks together with workers, preparing to transport to markets.

On 6 August, 669 fishing boats of Nantong set out for the sea gradually, and started the ‘first catch’ after the end of fishing ban in summer. ‘From the conditions of offshore work in the past two days, the output is about the same as that of last year. The major catch includes swimming crab and golden hook shrimp.’ Xu Hongying, person in charge of Nantong Guo’An aquatic products Co., Ltd. said.

Swimming crab on the bank was bought by vendors at once. The fresh seafood will be transported to places such as Shanghai and Zhejiang. Apart from that, many local small vendors picked up goods to supply local market. ‘Our general uniform price is 25 yuan per jin.’ Xu Hongying said.
