Held commodity fair, to ‘go out’ to expand market

Our goods are very popular at the fair. We felt the passion of our Chinese friends,’ on 29th October morning, Omaid, a participating exhibitor from Afghanistan, told the reporter with a smile, talking about the achievements of the commodity fair in the past few days.

From 26th to 29th October, the first ‘New Hometown of Overseas Chinese’ Cultural Festival and the third ‘the Belt and Road’ Commodity Fair was held in Haimen District, which attracted more than 100 guests from 25 ‘the Belt and Road’ joint building countries and areas including Russia, Pakistan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, and Turkey.

Fur from Pakistan, handmade carpets from Afghanistan, caviar from Russia, saffron from Iran, art works from Ghana, cases and bags from South Africa, coffee from Brazil...no need to go abroad, you can enjoy the international shopping experiences at ‘doorstep’.

‘It is a beautiful city. People are all welcoming and friendly.’ Alim from Pakistan said that he and a few cooperative partners set up four booths at the fair in total, brought characteristic goods such as bronze handmade art works, fur, cases and bags, ‘Although it is my first time to participate in a fair in Nantong, I have a feeling of familiarity and sincere.’ Jahamid, an exhibitor from Afghanistan, had the same feeling as Alim. He found out that the exhibition booth was relatively small when setting up, but handmade carpets needed a relatively large place. After active communication with the host of the commodity fair, the host adjusted the exhibition booth for him in time.

‘The blanket is soft and warm. I’ m sure you will love it.’ On the site of the commodity fair, Sara, a host of Dieshiqiao TikTok live streaming base, was introducing the blankets produced in Dieshiqiao to customers in America and Britain in fluent English.

In the end of July, for three continuous days, Sanxing Town held multiple business matchmaking events with platforms such as Yu Guo Cross-Border, TikTok, AliExpress, SHEIN, and TEMU, which built a bridge for communication and cooperation between home textile enterprises and cross-border e-commerce platforms. The TikTok live streaming base went into operation on 1st August, and it has attracted 5 cross-border enterprises to settle successfully.

Let the home textile ‘go out’! At present Dieshiqiao, new businesses and new modes such as cross-border e-commerce and overseas warehouses are developing fast. Not only hardware carrier platforms including ‘Dieshiqiao E-commerce City’ and ‘Dieshiqiao Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Center’ were built, but also the exported goods have been extended from home textile products to more than 80 types of products including digital products, integrated circuit, home furnishing and hardware.
