On 5th November, the sixth China International Import Expo opened at National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Over 400 new products, new technologies, and new services would be exhibited together. 154 countries, areas and international organizations came actively. More than 750 trade delegations registered to enter the expo for purchase. The scale hit a historical high. During the expo, 2014 enterprises and 6300 people of Nantong delegation went to Shanghai in batches, to experience frontier technologies and look for cooperation opportunities.

The procurement scope of the Nantong trading delegation includes fields such as food, agricultural products, medical equipment, medicine and health products, technical equipment, automobiles, and service trade. Apart from that, Nantong has sorted multiple major foreign invested enterprises in 6 major industrial clusters including shipbuilding and marine engineering, bio-medicine, new materials, and new energy, and planned to carry out flexible small theme investment attraction meetings including point-to-point meetings during the expo.
