On 15th April, Zhang Tong, Mayor of Nantong, met with Alexander Biber, Mayor of Troisdorf, and his party.

Zhang Tong welcomed Mayor Alexander Biber and his party, on behalf of CPC Nantong Committee and Nantong government, and briefly introduced the economic and social development conditions of Nantong. She said that Nantong was an open city, and had close interactions in economy and trade with Germany. She hoped that both parties could make the visit a new start, deepen exchanges and cooperation in all aspects, and let Nantong become the first choice of more Germany invested and German enterprises which plan to do business in the Yangtze River delta.

Alexander Biber thanked Nantong for its care and support to German enterprises which have been developing in Nantong. He said that Troisdorf was one of the areas with most intensive technologies and talents in Europe. He hoped that by the visit, they could deepen exchange, and have close interactions, to build a ‘bridge’ of mutual trust, cooperation and mutual benefit.
