The reporter learnt from Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University that after 4 years of construction, the East Branch of Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University would start trial operation on 30th May.

From 30th May, East Branch of Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University will carry out free diagnoses activity for 3 continuous days. Experts of 38 departments will provide free consultations at the East Branch. There will be no diagnostic fee for all outpatients in the 3 days.

The East Branch of Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University is located at No.688, Qingnian East Road, Nantong. The hospital can be reached directly by Metro Line No.2. The East Branch covers an area of 281 mu. The total gross floor area is 566 thousand square meters. It will be completed in two phases. The phase 1 project which will be put into trial operation includes the outpatient, emergency, medical technology department and a ward of 2500 beds.

During the trial operation, the first batch of 24 departments including Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine will move into the East Branch of Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University gradually.
