On 15th May, Wu Xinming, Secretary of CPC Nantong Committee, met with Kim Young-jun, Consul General of Korea in Shanghai, and his delegation.
Wu Xinming welcomed the arrival of Kim Young-jun and his delegation on behalf of CPC Nantong Committee and Nantong government, and expressed gratitude for care and support for Nantong’s development provided by Consulate General of Korea in Shanghai. Wu Xinming said that Nantong and Korea had a long history of cultural exchanges and close economic and trade interactions. Nantong and Gimje and Changwon of Korea, Qidong and Geoje became sister cities respectively. Nantong is a fertile ground of foreign investment. He hoped that Consulate General of Korea in Shanghai could promote Nantong better, facilitate more cities and enterprises to collaborate with Nantong, and deepen exchanges and cooperation in multiple fields including technological innovation, industrial development and humanities education.
Kim Young-jun expressed gratitude for Nantong’s care and help for Korean enterprises and nationals all this time. He said that Nantong had good development momentum, many opportunities and great potential. He hoped that interactions in aspects such as economic trade and culture could be strengthened and exchanges could be expanded, to share new development opportunities and create a new situation of cooperation together.
