Recently, the express delivery route created by Nantong Mobile and SF Express together completed its first flight successfully in Chongchuan District. The 5G-A drone flew from No.1 Xingyu Road to the SF Express station at Nantong Institute of Technology. The highest altitude of the first test flight is 180m. The flight distance is 5.4 km and the load is 10 kg. It took only 8 minutes to deliver the package smoothly to the designated station.

Through the 5G-A integrated communication and sensing network established by Nantong Mobile, 5G-A drone can achieve accurate perception and recognition of the surrounding environment and target objects, effectively reduce the disruption between the ground and the low altitude, so that the signal will be more stable, which can break the distance limitations of traditional drone control.

The first batch of the 22 low-altitude stations including 5G-A have all been completed and opened. From Yongxing Avenue in the north, to Xinkai Town in the south, from the bank of the Yangtze River in the west, to Tongsheng Avenue in the east, full coverage of low-altitude flying network in the major urban area is realized. By 5G-A drone express delivery route, urban express delivery service is expected to achieve ‘half day delivery in the city’.
