On 28th May, Nantong Institute for Advanced Ocean Study of Southeast University was signed and unveiled at Nantong International Conference Center.

At present, Nantong is continuously building a modern marine city with Jianghai characters, and accelerating the cultivation of characteristic modern marine industry. It is necessary to continuously enhance talent support and intellectual support. Southeast University uses the ‘big ocean’ as an entry point to promote the optimization and upgrading of major and course structure. It needs a carrier and test field for marine field research urgently. The building of Nantong Institute for Advanced Ocean Study of Southeast University, is the starting project of the strategic cooperation between the university and the local government. It is also a key project to serve the strategy of building a maritime power. It will definitely inject stronger and more sustainable blue energy into Nantong’s high quality development.
