Recently, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. and Vitol International Shipping Pte Ltd under Vitol, a globally famous commodity trading company, signed the shipbuilding orders of 2 new LNG ships.

Vitol has been engaged in LNG trading for 20 years. The company is expanding its business in the world. Last year its global liquefied natural gas trading volume exceeded 17 million tons. Vitol has been investing biological and liquefied natural gas infrastructure via its subsidiary ViGo bioenergy. Its subsidiary Vitol Bunkers is also one of the leading marine fuel suppliers in the world. The cooperation with Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering will strengthen Vitol’s layout in the global bunkering field.

The ship project signed this time, includes one 12500 cubic meters LNG bunkering ship and one 20000 cubic meters LNG transport and bunkering ship. They will both feature the latest LNG bunkering ship design of Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering, fully considering safety, economy and environmental protection in design, which provides outstanding transport and refueling capabilities.
