n 6th August, 2024 ‘Root-seeking Journey in China’ Summer Camp in Nantong, Jiangsu - ‘travelling in Jianghai, looking for traces of Zhang Jian’ camp opened. 25 overseas Chinese youths from the United States crossed mountains and seas to gather in Nantong.

‘Root-seeking Journey in China’ Summer Camp is an important brand event of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. It is the 14th year that Nantong has held the event.

During the 10-day camp, the members will use Nantong University as the campsite, visit various types of museums, approach intangible cultural heritages, experience Chinese Kung Fu, taste Nantong delicacies and learn poetry, lyrics and essays, walk by the Yangtze River, travel on the Hao River at night, look for the history of Mr. Zhang Jian’s industrial development and education promotion, experience the development of Nantong, understand Jianghai culture, and increase the understanding and interest in Chinese culture and Chinese civilization.
